Jerry Payton, Owner

• Jerry Payton has been a driving force behind Shelley’s Precision Auto Center for over 35 years and became co-owner in 2012 alongside his brother, Paul. Following Paul’s passing in January 2024, Jerry remains committed to upholding the integrity, standards, and trusted reputation the shop is known for throughout the Conejo Valley. A highly skilled Master Technician, Jerry is recognized for advanced diagnostic expertise across electrical, mechanical, interior, exterior, and A/C systems. He is A/C certified and continues to stay current through ongoing technical training in today’s evolving automotive industry. Jerry is also an ASE-certified Master Technician, licensed smog inspector, and licensed smog repair technician. With a background in business studies, Jerry has helped shape Shelley’s into a company built on professionalism, accountability, and doing business the right way—always treating customers with honesty, respect, and care. His combination of technical mastery and business integrity sets the tone for the entire team.

Nicholas Caulley, Service Manager

• Nicholas Caulley serves as Service Manager at Shelley’s Precision Auto Center, where he oversees the flow of operations between customers, technicians, and the service team. With formal training in automotive management, he brings a refined ability to coordinate complex workflows while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and shop efficiency. Nicholas excels at translating customer concerns into clear, actionable repair plans, working closely with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis, proper scheduling, and timely completion of work. He prepares detailed estimates for parts and labor and provides clients with consistent, professional updates throughout the repair process. His leadership, communication, and organizational skills help ensure every vehicle is handled efficiently and every customer receives a smooth, transparent, and professional service experience.

Garrison Cook, Service Writer

• Garrison Cook is the front office Service Writer at Shelley’s Precision Auto Center and is often the first point of contact for customers. Known for his positive attitude and warm smile, Garrison creates a welcoming experience for every client who walks through the door. With over 4 years of professional automotive customer service experience, including work in parts and direct customer support, he brings a well-rounded understanding of both vehicle needs and customer expectations. Garrison takes pride in listening carefully to each client’s concerns and translating them into clear, accurate work orders for the shop team. He also plays a key role in keeping customers informed throughout the repair process, providing timely updates on service and repairs. His communication skills, professionalism, and customer-first mindset help ensure a smooth and confident experience from start to finish.

Kenny Reed, Master Technician

• Kenny Reed is a highly experienced Master Technician at Shelley’s Precision Auto Center, bringing over 40 years of automotive expertise to the team. Known for his exceptional problem-solving abilities, Kenny has a talent for accurately diagnosing even the most complex mechanical issues. Throughout his career, Kenny has developed a deep understanding of all aspects of vehicle repair, allowing him to confidently service a wide range of mechanical concerns. Brian Thibodeau, Technician

He received his training through Universal Technical Institute, where he graduated at the top of his class, building a strong foundation in modern automotive diagnostics and repair. Rodrigo Muro, Technician

He graduated with top honors from Universal Technical Institute, where he developed his skills in modern vehicle diagnostics and repair. Before entering the automotive field, Rodrigo proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he built a reputation for discipline, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic—qualities he carries into his work every day. As a rising technician, Rodrigo is dedicated to continuing his training and learning from the experienced team around him.
